Hi everyone.
This is Val (Darran’s fiance).
Darran was released from hospital on the 11th July but unexpectedly passed away 6 days later on the on the 17th July.
It was not the EHE that killed him but a blood clot to his lung and as the coroner said it was a recognised complication of surgery there is going to be an inquest to see if anyone was to blame.
I’d just like to thank everyone who gave Darran thier support during his illness and to all those who are living with EHE i wish you all the best and i hope a cure is found for you all very soon.

Val, I’m so so so sorry. You are in my thoughts. I have vowed to continue researching EHE throughout my lifetime. I just lost my brother to it too. Love, Angie

you dont know me – I maintain a support group for people with EHE. I have only known Darran for a year, but I know he was a wonderful guy, with supportive friends, and a great sense of humour. I was shocked and saddened to hear about his loss, and I extend my condolences to you, his family, and friends.
